Ming Creative Art Academy  is, and always will be, committed to helping our students find the right postsecondary fit. Although we are unable to host an in-person event this year, we are proud to reinforce our commitment to supporting MCAA students with the announcement of our first-ever Virtual Art College Fair on Saturday, August 7th!

At this virtual event, you will experience:

  • A collaboration between industry professionals, colleges, and MCAA alumni to provide virtual presentations about post-secondary arts and academic opportunities, as well as sessions from our counselors on how to navigate application deadlines, financial aid, and more during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

  • A virtual, fully interactive college fair platform where colleges can showcase their unique attributes to students and parents. Top Art Colleges will have representatives giving a live presentation following a Q&A with students.

  • Each college will have a scheduled 45-minute time frame to present. Students may choose to participate in all of the presentations or only the colleges they are interested in. If you are unsure, we highly encourage participation in all presentations.

  • An opportunity to have a pre-scheduled private 1-on-1 portfolio review with a MCAA Counselor.

Who can attend the Virtual Art College Fair?

The Virtual Art College Fair is intended and designed for all high school students and their parents/guardians who are interested in pursuing post secondary education in Art & Design. However, ALL are welcome to join.

How do I register for the event?

High school students and parents/guardians must go to MCAA’s website to register for the Virtual Art College Fair. On the home page, please click on the “Step 1: Register Here for Virtual Art College Fair” button and follow the steps to complete registration. On the website, you will find all of the necessary information about the fair, including the schedule and sign-up sheet for Open Portfolio Review w/ MCAA Art Counselors.

Is there a deadline to register?

You can register for this event at any time; however, we recommend registering in advance in order to preview the latest schedule and the colleges presenting at the event. You may also sign up for a private 1-on-1 portfolio review with a MCAA Counselor (first come first serve basis, spots fill up fast.)

Do I need to sign up separately for information presentations or private 1-on-1 portfolio reviews ahead of time?

No, you only need to rsvp for the day’s event. On the registration form you can reply "yes" or "no" to having a portfolio consultation. If you reply "yes", we will contact you by email to schedule a consultation. Prior to the day of the event, you will be emailed the full schedule along with a zoom link. You may join all of the colleges’ presentations or only the ones you are interested in.

What happens if I’m unable to attend the event?

We will record all sessions and they will be available to view online for current MCAA students only. They will be posted and accessible on the “Enrolled Students Resources” page until the end of the year. We highly encourage you to show up to the live online event to take advantage of the interactive experience.

This event is free and open to anyone!
